No accounts, no tracking

ReadRungs has no user accounts. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personal information — from anyone, including children. There are no ads, no third-party analytics, and no tracking cookies.

Your documents

Text you paste or files you upload are sent to our server for one purpose: generating the leveled renderings, glossaries, and quiz questions you asked for, using Anthropic's Claude API. We do not store your documents on our servers, and Anthropic does not use API content to train its models. When the response is generated, processing of your document ends.

Your progress

Reading progress — your current document, rung, and edition choice — is saved only in your browser's local storage on your own device. Clearing your browser data erases it. Nothing about your reading history exists on our servers.

Server logs

Like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure briefly keeps standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, request path) for security and abuse prevention, including rate limiting. These logs are not used to identify or profile readers.

Changes and contact

If our practices change, this page will change first, with a new date above. Questions: support@readrungs.com.
